Independent practice

AI Consulting
Applied intelligence,
built with intent.
Intro
I work on the design and integration of AI systems — what they are made of, where they belong inside an organisation, and how they behave once people actually depend on them.
My work sits between research and operations. The model is rarely the hard part; the difficulty is everything around it — the data it touches, the decisions it influences, the failure modes nobody planned for, and the quiet engineering that keeps a system trustworthy long after the demo.
The practice is independent and deliberately small: a few engagements at a time, each carried from the first architectural sketch through to something running in production — documented, observable, and operable by the team that inherits it.
Practice
-
01
Systems architecture
How models, data and software fit together — retrieval, orchestration, agents, and the boundaries that keep each of them honest.
-
02
Automation
Work that no longer needs a person in the loop, and the judgement to recognise where a person still belongs.
-
03
Integration
Bringing intelligence into existing products and internal operations without rebuilding everything around it.
-
04
Evaluation
Measurement, reliability and observability — knowing what a system does before trusting it with anything that matters.
Approach
- i
Understand the work before automating it.
- ii
Prefer the smallest system that holds.
- iii
Measure before you trust.
- iv
Leave something the team can operate alone.
Currently
- Focus
- Agentic systems in production environments — orchestration, failure modes, and the operational surface they create.
- Reading
- Evaluation practice: making model behaviour measurable in domains where correctness is not obvious.
- Working from
- France, with teams across Europe. Remote by default, on site when it changes the outcome.
